Amazing Grace — the hymn, but make it Savage…

Amazing Savage Sexuality

How sweet the embodiment coaching

That saved a hiding entertainer like me

I once was afraid of what people might think

But now I am shining for the world to see

Was seeking permission to be a Christian and be myself

But now I’m dancing wild, naked and free!

Permission granted

When I was a little girl I loved attention and I loved myself. I wanted everyone to look at me, celebrate me and tell me how beautiful I was. I would get in front of the camera and strike a pose. I would get in front of my family and perform a dance. I was an entertainer through and through.

In high school I made up dances and imagined myself performing them in front of my entire school. I had my boyfriend take “modeling” pictures of me at a local park. On the weekends, I would sneak into clubs and find myself on stages and bar tops — I even won a few twerking contests.

There was one problem: I was a Christian. I still am, but as a young woman I got the message that I had to choose between being a good Christian girl and being me. So I lived a double life.

Depending on where I was or who I was with, I would either be [somewhat] behaved or fully let my wild side out. Until I finally found a place where both my faith and my full self-expression was accepted: the strip club dressing room.

Unusual and unprecedented, I know, but holy nonetheless. I would sit amongst women of every age, shape, and walk of life who truly “bared all.” We did our make-up and laughed, we talked about everything from the hair on our nipples, sexual abuse as a child, comparing our vulvas and our beliefs about God.

I stopped stripping when I was about 25, but that holy ground I found there — where all of me belonged: where I could say anything, wear anything, question anything AND be known as a woman of God — I took it with me and 16 years later, I still carry it for other women to experience for themselves.

Honesty - Freedom - Beauty - Adventure - Presence

I know (and love) who I am. I can always change my mind. I keep an open heart and mind. I walk in wonder and I trust that God is working all things for my good.

Here's what you can expect from me:

Raw leadership: I commit to continue being painstakingly true to myself. This is the key that helps unlock the next level of authenticity in and for you.

Being trusted: I believe you are trustworthy and you deserve to be celebrated and encouraged as you uncover and step into what feels right for you.

Challenging questions to help you powerfully articulate your truth and values. Your deep conviction will help you take action with newfound confidence.

Grace: You can expect kindness, grace and unconditional love from me as a friend, sister and mentor. I already see you through the lens of wholeness.

Action steps: You want something different, so you’ll have to do something(s) differently. I know you’ll get there and I will help you; one best step at a time.

Space to self-discover: You don’t need to be told. You just need prompts with time and space to help you have your own transformational “aha” moments.

Fun girl time: Yes, we’re doing the inner work and there will still be space for memories to be made, laughs to be shared and a beautiful bond to be built.

Accessibility: I am honored to do this work with you and if you choose to give because you want to, you can, but you don’t owe me anything.

Xoxo, Jen
